Each of the above listed items consists of multiple PMComplete™ functions allowing you to add new records, change, replicate, delete and list existing records, chart, enquire and report on records, add an unlimited number of soft copy document attachments to records, classify records, monitor their status through their life cycle, sort the displays into a variety of sequences, print reports, drill-down on reports and e-mail these reports.
PMComplete™ allows you to manage risks for projects as well as for companies.
PMComplete™ helps you to manage project risks by allowing you to record your project risks and then update the information as you go through the typical risk management process steps of:
- Identification
- Assessment/Analysis
- Filtering and Selection/Evaluation
- Avoidance and Mitigation/Treatment
- Contingency Planning
- On-Going Monitoring and Review
- Status Reporting/Communicating
For companies, PMComplete™ supports Business Continuity Planning (BCP) which is designed to minimise losses and maximise opportunities.
PMComplete™ helps you to manage BCP by allowing you to identify company risks threatening:
- Facilities
- Products
- Equipment/Assets
- Other Companies (eg, vendors and Clients)
- Other People
- Business Objectives
- Processes
and then to devise avoidance, mitigation and contingency plans for them.
You can create a list of standard risks (recorded in Template Risks) and then copy these to become your project's risks.
You can flag risks so that they are not to be displayed to Clients or vendors.
Opportunities are the opposite of risks.
Reports use colour-coded "traffic lights" to indicate the priority/exposure of each risk.
An added advantage of using PMComplete™ to manage your risks is that you will build up a historical repository of risks and approaches to handing them as well as Risk Events/Materialisations. This can be used as part of a formal process (eg, during a post-implementation review) as well as in informal ways (eg, assisting Project Managers to identify the risks for their specific projects).
Risk management in PMComplete™ conforms to AS/NZS 4360:1999 Australian Standard - Risk Management.
